Trailblazer Golf wraps up play at Williams Invitational
Williamstown, MA- The MCLA Men's golf team wrapped up play this afternoon in Williamstown at the Taconic Golf Club. The invite was hosted by Williams College and the Trailblazers finished in 19th place.
Nick Young led the Trailblazers as he finished T-76 following rounds of 80-87. Both rounds were played in inclement weather and difficult course conditions. Cooper Gavin finished in 93rd place while other Trailblazers competing were Sam Slocumbe, James Clark, and Hunter Woodbury.
Trinity (CT) won the event with a consistent performance and nipped host Williams by finishing at 601. The hosts were next at 605 following a solid 296 performance today. Western New England finished in third place, while Skidmore and Williams (B) finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Will Rosenfield of Trinity took home top individual honors with a two day total of 143 (+1) to edge out Jack Coyne (Williams) and Paul Park (NYU).
The Trailblazers will host their own invite on Tuesday at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield.
