Young paces Trailblazers at MASCAC Championships

Sutton, MA- The MCLA Golf team wrapped up their 2015-16 season with this afternoon's MASCAC championship held at Blackstone Valley Golf Club in Sutton, MA.  The Trailblazers were paced by Nick Young, who finished in 14th place.  

Salem State took home the team championship shooting a solid score of 308 (+20) besting Worcester State by six shots.  Westfield State finished in third place while MCLA was fourth among the conference schools.

Salem State's Tom MacPherson was medalist and claimed the individual title after shooting a two over par 74.  He was two shots clear of teammate Cam Muniz and Worcester's Jackson Davis.  

Nick Young paced MCLA after shooting an 82 on the 6,655 yard layout.  Young shot a front nine 40 to give himself a chance, but faltered with a back side score of 42 to settle on his 82.

Other Trailblazers competing were Sam Slocombe, Hunter Woodbury, and James Clark.
