AURORA, New York— Nathan Haley score six times and Boden Dock five to lead the MCLA Men's Lacrosse team to a convincing 17-8 nonconference victory over Wells College this afternoon. With the win MCLA improves to 5-4 while Wells falls to 0-5.

Boden Dock (5 goals) put MCLA up 2-0 with a pair of goals in the first five minutes of play but Wells midfielder Jacob Stine (7 goals) answered with two of his own to tie things up with 8:06 left in the first quarter.

Goals by Dock, Johnny Hebert (2 goals, 3 assists) and Nathan Haley (6 goals, assist) would put the Trailblazers up 5-2 but Stine would add two more to cut the lead to one at the first break.

A five-goal run including two more each by Haley and Dock and one from Hebert to start the second would give MCLA a bit of breathing room stretching the lead to 10-4. Stine would end the run but Haley would add another to make it 11-5 at the half.

Haley and Jaquan Chinnis (2 goals, 2 assists) would make it 13-5 before Stine scored again for the Express. But goals by Anthony Andolina, Matthew Wallace (goal, 3 assists) and Haley to close out the third quarter would put the game away. Wells would get two in the fourth and Chinnis would add another for MCLA as the Trailblazers cruised to the 17-8 win.

Wells goalkeeper Isaac Craft (L, 0-5) made 23 saves on 40 shots in the loss. MCLA goalie John Hankel (W, 5-4) made 3 saves on 11 shots.

MCLA's Matt Ortiz was dominant in the face-off circle winning 20 of 26 along with collecting eight groundballs.

Wells will next take on Finger Lakes Community College this Friday at 4pm. MCLA will be off until next Sunday when they travel to SUNY Delhi for a North Atlantic Conference contest to take on the Broncos at 1pm.
