Husson pulls away late in 15-10 NAC win over Men’s Lacrosse

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.—Boden Dock and Johnny Hebert each scored four goals today but it wouldn't be enough as MCLA fell to Husson University 15-10 this morning at Shewcraft Field. With the win the Eagles improve to 8-7 (4-4 NAC) while the Trailblazers fall to 5-8 (1-6 NAC).

The opening quarter was back and forth with Boden Dock, Jaquan Chinnis and Anthony Andolina scoring for MCLA. Though Trailblazer goalie John Hankel made several impressive stops, Husson would take a 4-3 lead into the second.

Tied at 5-5 in the second, Matt Boynton would score three straight and Bryce DeRonda would add another to put the Eagles up 9-5 midway through the quarter but Johnny Hebert and Dock would trim the deficit to 9-7 by the half.

The game would remain nip and tuck in the third with Boynton and Ben Huynh scoring for Husson, but Dock and Hebert twice, would would answer to trim the Eagle lead to 11-10 headed to the final quarter.

The visitors pulled away in the fourth outscoring MCLA 4-0 taking the 15-10 NAC win.

Husson goalie Odin Burk (W, 5-4) made 16 saves in the victory while Hankel (L, 5-8) stopped 23 shots but took the loss in net for the Trailblazers.

Both teams will next host Northern Vermont-Lyndon with MCLA taking on the Hornets on Wednesday at 4pm while Husson and Lyndon will conclude their regular seasons next Saturday at 1pm.
