WATERVILLE, Maine— Boden Dock scored four times to set a program record with 49 goals in a single season, but the MCLA Men's Lacrosse team dropped a 14-12 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) decision at Thomas College this afternoon. With the win the Terriers end their season at 4-8 (3-5 NAC) while the Trailblazers finish their 2023 campaign with a record of 6-9 (1-7 NAC).

Dock's first tally nearly three minutes in broke the scoreless tie but just two and a half minutes later Thomas would take the lead at 2-1. MCLA scored the last three goals of the quarter as Nate Allen, Bock and Jaquan Chinnis gave the Trailblazers a 4-2 advantage after the first.

The teams would trade a pair of goals to begin the second as Connor Hamilton and Hunter Crocker tied the game for Thomas at 4-4 before Matt Ortiz and Dock's third marker reestablished MCLA's two goal lead at 6-4 with just over seven minutes remaining until the break. The Terriers rallied back however, scoring four-straight, including two man-up from Daniel Macwhinnie and a Timothy Worster goal with just one second left to put the hosts up 8-6 at the half.

Two Hebert goals would bookend three from Thomas in the third  to make it 11-8 headed into the final stanza.

Two early scores by Anthony Andolina and DeClan McEachen as well as Dock's record breaking 49th would tie the contest at 11-11 but Macwhinnie closed out his day with a natural hattrick to giving the Terriers a three-goal cushion with 4:50 left. Chinnis would add one more, but Thomas would hold off MCLA for the 14-12 season ending win.

Patrick Buxton (W, 2-3) and Daniel Guarino split duties between the pipes for the Terriers stopping a combined 8 MCLA shots. John Hankel (L, 6-9) helped to keep MCLA in the game making 19 saves but endured the loss in net for the Trailblazers.
