  • Records: SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers 1-6 (NAC 0-3) | MCLA Trailblazers 1-8 (NAC 1-3)

HIGHLIGHTS

  • SUNY Cobleskill jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the first quarter. Both goals were scored by Albert Sippio (11:14, unassisted), and (9:12, unassisted).
  • MCLA responded with a run of three goals of their own. The first tally was an unassisted effort from Luke Rhoss (8:31, unassisted). Less than two minutes later, Sean Neu (6:48, unassisted) evened the score at 2-2 before Rhoss (6:02, unassisted) scored his second of the game and thirteenth of the season. The lead gave the Trailblazers their first lead since the first quarter of the March 13th game at Keystone, a span of 301 minutes and four seconds.
  • The Fighting Tigers tied the game back at three with just under four minutes remaining in the first quarter when Sean D'Amaro (3:54, assisted by Alex Baker) scored a man-down goal. Neu (2:35, Rhoss) put the hosts back in front 4-3 with his second of the game and the final score of the opening period.
  • MCLA's Ty Roadcap (11:29, Rhoss) scored his first collegiate goal to push the home advantage to two goals just over two and a half minutes into the second quarter. That two-goal advantage evaporated over the next two minutes and 22 seconds with D'Amaro (9:45, Rob Staubitz and 9:07, unassisted) putting two goals in the back of the cage.
  • Anthony Andolina (8:28, Neu) scored his first of the game to put the Trailblazers back in front with just under eight and a half minutes left in the first half.
  • SUNY Cobleskill made the most of that remaining time to score two more goals (Staubitz, 5:37, unassisted, and Alex Baker, 2:10, Trevor Masocco) to take a 7-6 edge into the intermission.
  • The back and forth continued into the second half, with the teams combining for eight goals in the third quarter. First, Neu (13:30, unassisted) tied the game at seven, only to see D'Amaro (9:30, unassisted) take the lead back for the visitors.
  • Following D'Amaro's goal, Andolina (8:09, unassisted), (5:04, unassisted), (2:42, Rhoss), and (1:43, unassisted) scored four of the game's next five goals for MCLA. The only exception was D'Amaro's (3:21, Staubitz) goal, which tied the game at nine at the time. The run of four goals brought Andolina's season total to 12 goals.
  • In the closing seconds of the third quarter, Boden Dock (0:17, Walter Brown) gave the Trailblazers their largest lead of the day, moving the score at the end of the third quarter to 12-9.
  • The fourth quarter saw the Fighting Tigers claw their way back to even with the hosts with two goals apiece from Sippio ((14:22, unassisted) and (4:43, unassisted)) and Masocco ((11:18, Staubitz) and (5:06, unassisted)). The Sippio and Masocco goals were sandwiched around Lucan McGrath's (7:55, unassisted) second goal of the season.
  • As the game reached the two-minute mark, Dock (1:40, unassisted) scored what would turn out to be MCLA's game-winning goal and his sixth of the year.
  • Neal Brierly recorded 13 saves to earn his first collegiate win and improve his record to 1-3. For SUNY Cobleskill, James Meier converted 14 saves on 28 shots but fell to 1-6 on the year.
