MORRISVILLE, Mass. – The MCLA Lacrosse team took to the road this afternoon for a North Atlantic Conference matchup with the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs at Drake Field. 13 different Mustangs scored, with eight of them recording multiple goals, led by eight from Dante Patriarco.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • SUNY Morrisville scored early and often in this game, finding the back of the cage 10 times in the first quarter and seven more in the second quarter to take a 17-0 lead into the halftime intermission.
  • The lead had grown to 21-0 before MCLA scored their first goal with just under eight minutes to go in the quarter. The goal was unassisted by Luke Rhoss. It was Rhoss' 15th of the season.
  • The Mustangs added four more goals in the third period before expanding the lead to 31-1 in the fourth when Anthony Andolina (4:22, unassisted) scored the Trailblazers' second goal with over four minutes to go.
  • SUNY Morrisville's Gabe Mathews stopped the only shot he faced in the first half to pick up the win and evening his record at 2-2. MCLA's Neal Brierley turned away 16 shots but was still saddled with the loss to fall to 1-5 on the year.
