Baker nets game winner in OT as MCLA edges Southern Vermont 1-0
BENNINGTON, Vt. - MCLA's Casey Baker notched the game winning tally four minutes into overtime as the Trailblazers defeated host Southern Vermont 1-0 in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon at Everett Field.
The game was physical from the get go with over 30 tfouls(14 SVC, 16 MCLA). Also three yellow cards were flashed as the defense from each team remained competitive throughout the contest.
Trailblazer keeper Adam Tarsa had three saves and got the win at goal for MCLA. Mountaineer Aaron Eschler played the first half nabbing two saves for SVC and Elias Skiff played the remainder of the game swiping three saves.
The loss gives Southern Vermont a 10-4-1 overall record, while MCLA improved to 7-5-1.
MCLA returns home for Senior Day on Saturday when the host Fitchburg State at 1pm.
