MCLA falls on the road at New England College 1-0

Henniker, NH- MCLA fell on the road at New England College 1-0 in Men's Soccer action this afternoon.  With the loss, the Trailblazers fall to 2-2-1 on the season while NEC evened its record at 3-3.  

MCLA allowed a first half goal to the Pilgrim's Paul Mclean in the 19th minute and couldn't net the equalizer.  MCLA was outshot 14-10, but only managed three shots on goal in the contest.

McLean would get the Pilgrims on the board early as he would sneak in a pass from Aaron Kolb (New Durham, N.H.) just 19:23 into the game. The two teams would battle through the remainder of the opening half scoreless as the Pilgrims would hold the 8-5 advantage in shots.

MCLA would put on the offense pressure midway through the second half as Robert Dalby (Ludlow, Mass.) would fire a shot that would be punched away by Pilgrim keeper Pat Harkin (Scituate, R.I.) in the 66th minute. MCLA's Morgan Chichester (Patterson, N.Y.) would follow with a rebound that would sail just wide of the net.

Harkin picked up the win in goal for the Pilgrims finishing the game with three saves. MCLA's Adam Tarsa (Adams, Mass.) finished the game with eight saves. The Pilgrims outshot the Trailblazers 14-10 on the afternoon.

New England College returns to action on Saturday, September 18 when they travel to take on conference opponent Nichols College. MCLA will open conference play on the road traveling to take on Worcester State College Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
