MCLA runs past Green Mountain for third straight victory 4-0

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Men's Soccer team raced out to a 3-0 halftime lead and never looked back in running past visiting Green Mountain College 4-0 this afternoon at Shewcraft Field.  With the win, the Trailblazers are now 8-5-1 on the season heading into a pivotal conference game at Westfield State on Saturday.

MCLA took control in the 25th minute when Liroy Ozinci beat Green Mountain keeper Nate Kishbaugh in the upper right corner for a 1-0 lead.  The Trailblazers would earn an own goal when Jordan Hoofnagle's cross was deflected into the Eagle net, making it 2-0.  Chris Nobrega would tally in his second straight game in the 42nd minute to give MCLA an insurmountable 3-0 halftime edge.

Ryan Shewchuk would add the final tally heading home a Robert Dalby cross to provide the final margin.  MCLA would outshoot the visiting Eagles 19-6 on the afternoon.

MCLA allowed only one shot on goal in the contest.
