Trailblazers fall late in double OT to Framingham in Men's Soccer 1-0

North Adams, MA- The visiting Framingham State Rams tallied with just 31 seconds remaining in double overtime to lift the visitors past MCLA 1-0 in Men's Soccer MASCAC action.  With the win, the Rams improve to 3-4-2 (2-1 MASCAC) overall, while the Trailblazers fall to 3-6 (1-2 MASCAC).

The Rams' Ryan Boughter headed home a free kick off the foot of Mark Bamford for the game winner which wrapped up a frantic final ninety seconds.  A physical affair was ramped up in OT.  MCLA played a man down for the extra time and Framingham looked to capitalize following an MCLA foul in the box that resulted in a penalty kick with just 1:34 remaining in double overtime.

Trailblazer keeper Dillon Wager guessed correctly, making a highlight reel save off the attempt of Bryan DaSilva.  Wager also stopped the rebound and the game appeared headed to a draw.  Following another MCLA foul near midfield, the Rams took advantage with Boughter's game winner.

MCLA had some bad breaks as they hit the crossbar and the post on two occasions in the second half and overtime.

Framingham outshot the Trailblazers 30-13 on the afternoon.

The Rams' Sam Yoder earned the shutout victory stopping five shots.  Wager was outstanding for MCLA as he stoned nine shots.

The Trailblazers will look to rebound when they battle SUNY Cobleskill Wednesday at 3:30pm.
