MCLA drops MASCAC tilt in overtime at Fitchburg

Fitchburg, MA- The Fitchburg State Falcons tallied the lone goal in overtime to upend the visiting MCLA Trailblazers 1-0 in a MASCAC matchup this evening.  MCLA is now 4-7 overall, 1-3 in league play.  Fitchburg improves to 3-7-2 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

Neither team could burst through in regulation as the match headed to overtime.  The Falcons controlled play in the extra session and scored the game winner in the 96th minute.  Carmen Bordonaro scored unassisted for the victory.  The tally was his third goal of the season.

MCLA keeper Dillon Wager stopped seven shots in goal while absorbing the tough luck loss.  Aidan Hanratty earned the win as he saved all four shots on the night.

The Falcons held a 19-12 shot advantage, however MCLA held an 8-0 edge in corners.

The Trailblazers will look to regroup as they have the week off to prepare for Westfield State next Saturday.
