Boateng named MASCAC Rookie of the Week

North Adams, MA- MCLA forward Edward Boateng has been named the MASCAC Rookie of the Week as announced by the league offices this afternoon. Boateng tallied a goal and an assist in a conference win over Westfield State on Saturday. Asa Mills of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy was tabbed as the player of the week.
Boateng joins fellow classmate Dylan Pereira as Trailblazers to recieve the honor. The first year player from Worcester scored in the second half while assisting on the opening goal by Pereira in the win over Westfield.
MCLA needed the victory to keep pace in the MASCAC playoff race setting up key matches with Bridgewater State and Mass. Maritime over the next two weeks.
Boateng and the Trailblazers are off until Saturday when they challenge Bridgewater on the road at 2:30pm.
