Pereira named Top rookie in Men's Soccer
2013 All MASCAC Men's Soccer Team
North Adams, MA- MCLA freshman forward Dylan Pereira has been tabbed as the 2013 MASCAC Rookie of the Year in Men's Soccer as announced by the conference offices this afternoon. The award coincides with the release of the 2013 All MASCAC teams.
Pereira, who hails from Ludlow, MA, burst onto the scene in 2013. He led MCLA with 11 goals and 23 points. The final numbers placed him second in the MASCAC in goals, while he was third in total points through the regular season.
His best efforts of the season may have come in the opening weekend. He scored a whopping six goals, including four markers in a win over Green Mountain. Of his 11 goals, three of them were game winners, including one in a MASCAC win over Westfield State on October 19th.
Pereira and MCLA finished with a mark of 5-9-1 in 2013.
