Basile named MASCAC player of the week following performance at Fitchburg

North Adams, MA- MCLA forward Anthony Basile was selected as the MASCAC player of the week following his two goal performance in a key road win at Fitchburg.  The honor was announced this morning by the league offices.

Basile, who hails from Longmeadow, MA, tallied both markers in a 2-1 victory over the Falcons to lift MCLA into a first place tie in the MASCAC.  Basile's goal in the 79th minute proved to be the difference maker.

He currently leads the team in scoring with five goals this season.

MCLA will be on the road tomorrow when they battle SUNYIT and then return to Shewcraft Field on Saturday as they host Framingham State in another key MASCAC matchup.
