Moore named MASCAC player of the week in Men's Soccer
North Adams, MA- MCLA senior forward Jesse Moore (Castleton, NY) has been selected as the MASCAC player of the week the conference announced this afternoon. The honor marks the first in the career for Moore.
Moore scored the game winning goal in double overtime on Saturday lifting the Trailblazers past rival Westfield State 2-1. The senior made a diving header on a ball from Dylan Pereira that easily went into the the left corner securing the win for the Trailblazers. The win also lifted MCLA atop the MASCAC standings as they are tied with Mass. Maritime Academy at 2-0-1 on the season.
The offense from Moore has been quite a pleasant surprise this season. The forward is currently tied for the team lead with 5 goals which ranks him third in the league. He leads the team with 12 points which also places him second in the conference.
Moore and the Trailblazers are off all week until a Friday night match at Shewcraft Field with Worcester State.
