First half dooms MCLA Men's Soccer in road loss to Sage

Albany, NY- The Sage College men's soccer team scored five times in the opening half of play and never looked back as they rolled past MCLA 5-0 this evening in non league play.  The Gators are now 3-4-1 on the season.

MCLA drops to 0-7-1.

Sage got on the board in the fourth minute when Andy Acevedo converted a River Seybolt pass for an early 1-0 advantage.  The score would remain that way until the 25th minute when Seybolt once again was the center of attention.

Seybolt scored an unassisted goal to make it 2-0 and then Stephen Spraker made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute.

The Gators would add goals from Joergen Skagen and K Contreras Sanchez to take an insurmountable 5-0 halftime lead.

Neither team would score in the second half of play, but the damage was already done.

Aaron Smith absorbed the loss in goal for MCLA playing the first half.

The Trailblazers head to Mass. Maritime on Friday night to continue MASCAC play.
