Bean selected as MASCAC Rookie of the Week
North Adams, MA-- MCLA first year forward Cola Bean (Jamaica Plain, MA) was selected as the MASCAC rookie of the week as the conference announced honors this afternoon. Salem State's Fabricio Torres took home the Player of the Week honors.
Bean was instrumental in the Trailblazer comeback win over Worcester State on Saturday. After MCLA trailed 1-0 at the half, Bean would tally twice in the second half to lead a furious rally and give MCLA their first win of the season. The goals marked the first of the season for Bean.
The win marked MCLA's first this season and the Trailblazers were competing for the first time in 14 days.
Bean and the Trailblazers are back home tomorrow night when they host Union (NY) at Shewcraft Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.
