Edge and Lopez named to MASCAC All-Conference Team

Edge and Lopez named to MASCAC All-Conference Team

North Adams, MA- Senior Goalkeeper Sam Edge (Williamstown, MA) and sophomore midfielder Marcos Lopez have both been named to the 2022 Men's Soccer MASCAC All-Conference Second Team. Edge was also named Second Team All-Conference last season.

Framingham State's Bryce Narduzzi and Gustav Hemmingsten were voted Player and Rookie of the Year while Salem State's Patrick Filetti was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Edge, who earned Second Team All-Conference honors last season as well, played in and started 16 matches this season earning 5 shutouts. Lopez played in 15 matches, staring 12 and tied for the team lead with 4 goals, three of which were game winners.

Joing Narduzzi and Hemmingsten on the First Team were teammates Kunphel Sinha and Lachlan Forgan, while Filetti was joined by fellow Vikings Brendan Davis, Dylan Senra and Matt Hauntsman. Worcester State's Manny Ramirez and Matt Alzamora  as well as Bridgewater State's Nicolas Matias rounded out the First Team.

In addition to Edge and Lopez, Bridgewater State's Robson Montrond, David Nelson, and Justin Silva, Framingham State's Jared Nardizzi, Sherak Ayamga and Brian Sullivan as well as Fitchburg State's Curtis Thomas and Worcester State's Alexander Papageorgiou all received Second Team honors.

Framingham State's Dean Nichols was named Coach of the Year.
