Goldsmith, Wabshinak claim All NAC honors

2015 NAC Men's Tennis All Conference Team

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Men's Tennis program was well represented on the NAC All Conference team as freshman Aaron Goldsmith and Sophomore Rob Wabshinak were All NAC Selections.  Goldsmith was a first team singles pick, while Wabshinak was selected to the second team singles.

Green Mountain junior Connor Braden (Lafayette, Ind.) has been selected as the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division Men's Tennis Player of the Year, while Castleton junior Seth Marcil (Brattleboro, Vt.) was tabbed Rookie of the Year and Green Mountain head coach Ted Panasci was named Coach of the Year to headline the 2015 All-Conference announcement. The Johnson State men's tennis team was voted to receive the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Joining Braden and Marcil on first team singles were Colby-Sawyer freshman Rico Bailey (Mattapan, Mass.) and sophomore Cass McCann (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), MCLA freshman Aaron Goldsmith (Mattapan, Mass.) and Thomas senior Eric Morin (Lewiston, Maine) and junior Tyler Small (Surry, Maine).

First team doubles selections include the Colby-Sawyer tandem of Bailey and McCann, the Green Mountain duo of Braden and Nate Berner-Tobin (Stratham, N.H.), and the Thomas team of Morin and Small.

Second team singles honorees include Lyndon junior Tyler Hall (Keene, N.H.), Castleton sophomore Kyle Martin (West Rutland, Vt.), Colby-Sawyer freshmanAndrew Peloquin (Greenville, R.I.) and senior Sergio Spassof (Pallini, Greece), and MCLA sophomore Rob Wabshinak (Brewster, N.Y.).

Second team doubles choices include the Castleton pairs of freshmen Trevor Hanna (Whitehorse, Yukon) and Ryan Mulder (Ottawa, Ont.) and Marcil and Martin and the Colby-Sawyer team of Peloquin and senior Justin Pinard (Essex, Vt.).
