Men's Tennis falls to Castleton 9-0 in NAC action

Castleton, VT- The MCLA Men's Tennis program fell to NAC foe Castleton University 9-0 this afternoon.  The loss drops the Trailblazers to 1-4 on the season and a 1-3 mark in conference play.  The Spartans improve to 8-1 on the season and remain unbeaten in league play.

The Spartans took all three points in doubles as the duo of Seth Marcil and Quentin Barthe handled MCLA's top pairing of Aaron Goldsmith and Rob Wabshinak 8-5 for the first point.  The Spartans would get convincing wins out of Ryan Mulder/Trevor Hanna and Brody Wagner/Jared Wheeler to sweep the doubles matches.

Castleton's Mulder, Hanna, and Wagner all earned their second points in the third, fourth, and fifth slots respectively.  Tyler Wilcox rounded out the scoring for Castleton grabbing a point with a win over Mohamed Mahorus in the sixth slot.
