Najimy named first team All NAC in singles
North Adams, MA- MCLA's Cal Najimy has been named to the All North Atlantic Conference (NAC) first team as a singles competitor. The honor marks the first for Najimy in a Trailblazers uniform.
Thomas College swept the major awards as Rob Disch was named the conference's coach of the year. Ryan Chasse was selected as the NAC player of the year, and Yontz Sutton earned the rookie of the year honor.
Najimy went 5-5 overall this season as a singles competitor, but he excelled in the NAC by going 3-1 in conference matches. He was used primarily in the top spot for MCLA and earned conference singles points against Lyndon, Johnson, and Delhi. His lone loss came against Thomas in the league.
Najimy was a primary reason why MCLA finished up as the second seed in the NAC Championships being held tomorrow. The Trailblazers will face off with Delhi, who they nipped 5-4 in the regular season finale just a week ago.
