Cancilla tops at Castleton Invitational, MCLA finishes second

Castleton VT- MCLA junior Anthony Cancilla finished first at the Castleton Invitational meet this morning. Cancilla finished the 8K race with a time of 30:21, and a 6:07 mile pace.

MCLA finished second at the invitational. Castleton took home the team title.

Cancilla (Pittsfield, Mass.) picked up the win on the men's side in 30:21, defeating Green Mountain's Forest Teutsch (Reading,Mass.) by 16 seconds.

Keith Desilets was the next Trailblazer to cross the finish line. He came in 6th with a time of 33:06. Following Desilets in the pack was Travis Smith who finished 10th, two seconds ahead of teammate Peter Mayotte.

Other MCLA finishers include Jack Guerino (37:35), Brendan Peltier (40:06) and Nick Henigle (43:27).
