Men's Cross Country opens season at Castleton
Castleton, VT- The MCLA Men's Cross Country team opened their 2014 season this afternoon in the Castleton State invitational. The Trailblazers finished sixth in the event, while Colby Sawyer took home top honors.
Brendan Peltier was the first Trailblazer to cross the finish line completing the 5k course in 29:19. He was followed by newcomer Drew Weisse just 37 seconds later.
Hayden Bunnell of Colby Sawyer took the individual title running the layout in 26:02.
Other teams competing included Southern Vermont, Castleton, Thomas, New England College, and SUNY-Canton.
MCLA will compete again next Saturday in Bennington at the Southern Vermont classic.
