Erica Li named Interim Head Softball Coach

North Adams, MA- Laura Mooney, MCLA's Director of Athletics, has announced that Erica Li will serve as the Interim Head Softball Coach effective immediately.  Li replaces Jamie Trudeau who was just announced as the new head softball coach at Sage on Friday.

Li served as an assistant on Trudeau's staff last season and currently serves as the departments Coordinator of Academic Success.   She primarily worked with the outfielders and hitters for Trudeau last season.

Prior to MCLA, Li was an All American at cross town Williams.  While an Eph, Li was a four year member of the program and earned the captaincy during her senior season.  Li was named an All American in 2016 and also was tabbed as the New England Small College Athletics Conference (NESCAC) player of the year.  Her teams at Williams competed in the NCAA Tournament her final three seasons, which included trips to the regional finals the last two seasons.

While Li was an accomplished softball player, she was also an active member of the campus community.  She served as a junior advisor at Williams which is a mentoring program for first year students.   She was selected out of a pool of 120 candidates for the advising position.  The program entailed living amongst the first year students, mentoring them academically, and assisting them with the transition to Williams.

Li and the Trailblazers open up play in Clermont, Fl during spring break.
