MCLA breezes by Wheelock 76-39, moves to 8-1

Boston, MA- MCLA went on the road and defeated Wheelock College 76-39 in non conference action.  With the win, MCLA concludes the semester with a record of 8-1. 

The Trailblazers were never challenged as they jumped out to a commanding first half lead they would never relenquish.  They led by 18 at the half.

MCLA senior Laura Silverman (Ballston Spa, NY) led the Trailblazers with a season high of 15 points.  Sophomore Jen Wehner (Cooperstown, NY) once again posted double figures finishing with 13.  Freshman Lucy Tremblay (East Greenbush, NY) had a solid all around game notching 11 points and 8 assists.

Wheelock fell into a hole by committing 12 turnovers in the opening half compared to one for MCLA.  Wheelock would turn it over 21 times for the game.

The Trailblazers wrapped up their first semester with an 8-1 record heading into January.  They return to action on January 6th when they host Union (NY) College.
