MCLA run down by Williams 100-62
North Adams, MA- MCLA fell to Williams College 100-62 this afternoon in North Adams. Sophomore forward Jen Wehner was solid as she netted 27 points in the loss. With the defeat, MCLA suffers its first loss of the season and falls to 4-1.
Williams shot 51% from the floor, including 13 three pointers, to pull away from the Trailblazers. MCLA had 28 turnovers on the afternoon.
Wehner was a force in the first half as she kept MCLA close tallying 15 first half points on 7-8 shooting. She would finish 12 of 14 from the field with a team high 8 boards. Freshman Lucy Tremblay had a productive day as she tallied 16 points and four assists.
Williams was led by Chessie Jackson, who had 22 points on the afternoon. Grace Rehnquist came off the bench adding 15 points for the Ephs. Point guard Jill Greenberg had 12 points and seven assists.
MCLA will return to action on Saturday when they host Salve Regina at 2pm.
