Trailblazers sprint past Becker College 81-48
Leicester, MA- MCLA got 23 points from Lucy Tremblay in routing Becker College 81-48 on Tuesday night. With the win, the Trailblazers are now 2-0, while Becker falls to 0-3.
MCLA pulled away late in the first half, turning a tie game at 20 into a 40-22 lead at the break. The Trailblazers surged to a larger cushion early in the second half before cruising to victory.
Tremblay tallied her 23 points on 9-11 shooting, while adding five boards and five assists. Danielle Scolpino chipped in with 13 points off the bench.
Becker was led by Kristina Desnoyers with 12 points.
MCLA outrebounded the Hawks 43-34, thanks in large part to Jen Wehner's 13 caroms. Becker was also doomed by 25 turnovers.
The Trailblazers will open up at home on Sunday when they face Williams College at 4pm.
