Trailblazers drop season opener to Endicott at Keene State Tournament

Keene, NH- The MCLA Women's Basketball team traveled to Keene, NH for their season opener against the Endicott Gulls.  The Trailblazers struggled in the opening halfs and Gulls cruised to an 80-57 victory in the season opener for both programs.

Endicott received a game high 19 points off the bench from Kayleen Whall.  Jennifer White chipped in with 15 points and 7 rebounds.

MCLA was led by first year Brayleigh Hanlon who finished with 14 points in the loss.  Mariah Brown was the only other Trailblazer in double figures with 10.

Endicott stormed out of the gates and led 47-20 at halftime.  MCLA was done in by 17 turnovers and shot only 33% for the contest.

The Gulls shot a torrid 64% in the opening half and finished at 50% for the night.

Endicott will move on to play Keene State, who defeated Green Mountain in the first contest of the day. 

MCLA will battle Green Mountain in tomorrow's consolation game.
