MCLA women storm past Green Mountain
Keene, NH- The MCLA Trailblazers placed four players in double figures as they cruised past Green Mountain 79-17 in the consolation round of the Keene State tip off Classic. MCLA evens its mark at 1-1 while GMC drops to 0-2 overall.
The Trailblazers left little doubt in this one jumping out to a commanding 31-9 halftime lead and never looking back. They outscored GMC 48-8 in the closing twenty minutes.
Kaitlyn Chenevert paced MCLA with 13 points. Courtney Durivage added 12 points and 9 rebounds off the bench, while Brayleigh Hanlon and Mariah Brown chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively.
MCLA forced 40 turnovers in the victory while holding GMC to just 16% shooting on the night.
Courtney McLaughlin was the beneficiary on defense collecting 7 steals on the night.
The Trailblazers will open up at home on Thursday night when they host Western New England.
