Holly McGovern was named the Head Women's Tennis Coach in April 2012 along with her coaching duties in Women's Basketball.

Coach McGovern came to MCLA in 2005.  Throughout her tenure, she has guided the Trailblazers to back to back record setting seasons. Last year, she led MCLA to an 18-10 record, while capturing the MASCAC Tournament championship, thus advancing to their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance.  The eighteen victories topped the previous mark of fourteen set a year earlier.

McGovern’s teams have made the MASCAC postseason tournament every season since 2007, her 2nd year as Head Coach.  

McGovern is a graduate of Westfield State University with a B.A. in Sociology.  She served as an assistant coach at her alma mater for three seasons and helped the team to qualify for an ECAC tournament berth in the 2002-2003 season.   As a player, McGovern was named the MASCAC Rookie of the Year, while earning first team all conference honors from 1997-1999.  During her senior season, she was a Division III News fifth team All-American and a second team All-Northeast region selection.  McGovern finished her career as the all-time assist and steal leader.  She was inducted into the Westfield State University Hall of Fame in October 2010.

She currently resides in Adams with her husband Joe and their two children, Ryleigh (8) and Joey (5).
