MCLA's Alexandrea Bednar earns ECHA Player of the Week
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Junior forward Alexandrea Bednar (Vita, MB / University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire) has been named the ECHA Player of the Week. Rivier's Rebecca McKelvey (Barre, VT / Vermont Shamrocks) and Worcester State's Lana Pacific (Marlboro, MA / WC Swans) were named the Rookie of the Week and Goaltender of the Week, respectively.
Bednar picks up player of the week honors with a three-point weekend for the Trailblazers. Bednar's offense game on one goal and two assists versus the Pilgrims of New England College. Bednar currently leads the Trailblazers in goals, assists, and points. Bednar and the Trailblazers are back in action this Friday when they travel to Salem for the Salem State Viking Cup Tournament at the Rockett Arena. The puck drops on Friday at 7 PM.
