WORCESTER, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Ice Hockey team wrapped up their home-and-home series with Anna Maria College this evening when they traveled to the Buffone Arena. Juliette Barney followed up on her 67-save showing on Friday with another 45 saves this evening. AMC got two goals from Shayla MacDonald and a goal and two assists from Jordyn Bleaney to sweep the season series between the teams.

HOW IT WENT DOWN

  • Facing her sending school for the second time in as many nights, MCLA's Juliette Barney stopped 45 shots after stopping 67 in last night's 1-1 tie in North Adams. It marked the 8th time that the junior has recorded 40 or more saves, including in four of her last five games.
  • Jordyn Bleaney (at 0:28, assisted by Kourtney Mielke) scored the first goal only seconds into the first period. Shayla MacDonald (5:01, Bleaney & Abigail Vigliotte) then scored the first of what would turn out to be two goals just past the five-minute mark in the first period.
  • MacDonald (0:26, Mielke and Bleaney) then added her second goal of the game less than half a minute into the second period to set what would eventually be the final score.
