Senior Day- Kim Granito (Women's Lacrosse)

Today's profile is on MCLA Women's Lacrosse standout Kim Granito!

Granito has amassed 87 career goals, good for second all time at MCLA, and 102 points. She was named the teams MVP last season after scoring a school record 42 goals. For her efforts she was selected to the All MASCAC team.

She was poised to break many records on campus prior to the epidemic. Granito was a do it all performer at MCLA scooping up 85 groundballs and winning 122 draw controls.

Granito also excelled in the classroom. The Sociology major with minors in Criminal Justice, Women, Gender, and Sexual Studies, has been a four year member of the Dean's List at MCLA. She's a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma, Pi Gamma Mu, and Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. To cap her career, Granito has been a four time member of the MASCAC All Academic Team.

Favorite Athlete/Moment of your athletics career: Tom Brady/ When I gained my 100th point in my career at MCLA

What is your favorite place to eat around North Adams: The Smoothie Spot & Purple Pub

What is your favorite thing about MCLA?: Not being just a number on the campus and being able to leave my comfort zone

What do you miss the most about competing this Spring?: Pushing myself to be the best I can be in practice and games

What advice would you give other students in your program?: Have fun, truly have fun because if you aren't then everything you are doing is not worth it. Lead yourself with hard work, compassion, and love for the game.

What are your plans after graduation?: To enjoy life and see what I am capable of! Hopefully starting a business in the next few years.

Favorite memory being involved in MCLA Athletics: Watching myself grow as a leader, teammate, and player along side some of the greatest people I will ever meet.

Favorite professor and class at MCLA, elaborate why: Sociology of Happiness with Professor Zoltanski. Zoltanski always makes me laugh and brighten my spirits. Her lessons get the brain turning in an introspective way. Her humor never fails to make herself laugh in turn making me laugh. I will truly miss her wonderful presence and influence in my undergraduate life.
