Women's Lacrosse falls to MASCAC foe Framingham State

North Adams, MA-- The visiting Framingham State women's lacrosse team had eleven players reach the scoring column as the Rams defeated the MCLA Trailblazers 22-2 this afternoon in MASCAC action.  The Rams improve to 5-6 overall and are 2-0 in the league.  MCLA dips to 1-6 on the season and sit at 0-2 in the MASCAC.

Framingham left no doubt in this one as they jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead eleven minutes into the contest.  Rachel Erickson scored a pair of goals in the opening spurt while Madison Skiff collected three assists.  MCLA got on the board when Julia Graham converted, but after one quarter the Rams led 8-1.

The Rams would outscore MCLA 8-1 in the second quarter to take full command.  Erickson added another goal while Leah Green also completed a first half hat trick.  Framingham led 16-2 at halftime. 

The second half was much quieter in regards to offense as the Rams played possession.  MCLA could not break the Ram defense to get any closer.

Green ended with 5 goals and an assist for six points.  Erickson ended with three goals while Skiff ended with a goal and 4 assists.  Molly Lanier came off the bench to record four goals.

Alexis Burleigh earned the win and stopped one shot on the afternoon.

MCLA had goals from Graham and Nina Reyes.  Trailblazer Lori Lester stopped 9 shots on the afternoon.

The Rams held a 49-4 shot advantage and forced 26 MCLA turnovers.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Friday when they head to Mass. Maritime.
