Women's Lacrosse drops makeup tilt to Bears 19-4

North Adams, MA-- The visiting Bridgewater State women's lacrosse team had thirteen players tally goals as they rolled past the MCLA Trailblazers 19-4 this evening at Shewcraft Field.  Bridgewater moves over .500 and is now 8-7 on the season.  They improve to 4-2 in conference play and will wrap up the regular season on Saturday when they take on Worcester State.  MCLA drops to 1-10 overall and is 0-6 in the MASCAC.  The Trailblazers wrap up their season on Saturday night when they host Salem State at 6pm.

The Bears led just 4-2 after one quarter of play.  They would outscore MCLA 4-1 in the second quarter to seize an 8-3 edge at halftime.  The visitors would really take control in the second half.

Bridgewater outscored MCLA 11-1 over the final thirty minutes of action including an 8-0 third quarter.  Delaney Langton scored twice early in the third quarter and then Nina Liquori scored back to back goals.  The duo were key catalysts to the Bears 11-0 run to start the second half.

The Bear defense and offensive possession kept MCLA in check as the Trailblazers couldn't get on the scoreboard again until late in the fourth period.

Liquori ended with two goals and two assists to pace all scorers.  Katherine Tracy added two goals and an assist while Langton, Erin McIntyre, Katie Swart, and Katie O'Brien collected two goals each.  The offensive support was plenty for BSU keeper Brooke La Torra.  She collected one save on the afternoon to earn the win.

MCLA was paced by Sara Tomkiewicz and Julia Graham.  They each scored twice.

Lori Lester collected 18 saves in the loss for MCLA.
