Women’s Lacrosse falls to Framingham State in conference action

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.—Framingham State would score fourteen straight goals to open the match and cruise to a 21-2 conference victory tonight over the MCLA Women's Lacrosse team. With the win the Rams improve to 8-5 (3-0 MASCAC) while the Trailblazers fall to 2-5 (0-3 MASCAC).

Framingham's Rachel Erickson would score just fourteen seconds in and the Rams would never look back outscoring MCLA 10-0 in the first quarter and jumping out to a 14-0 advantage before Summer Nichols would finally put the Trailblazers on the board with less ninety seconds left in the half.

The Rams would score the next seven goals before MCLA's Julia Graham's goal with eleven seconds left in the game made it 21-2.

Eleven different players found the back of the net for Framingham with Alessia Lye (4 goals), Molly Lanier (3 goals) and Madison Skiff (3 goals, two assists) leading the way.

Alexis Burleigh (W, 4-2) only saw two free position shots earning the win in net for the Rams while Trailblazer goalie Lori Lester (L, 2-5) made ten saves but took the loss.

Both teams resume play with MASCAC matches on Wednesday as Framingham State travels to Mass Maritime for a 7pm start and MCLA hosts Fitchburg State at 5pm.
