North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Soccer program has been named a recipient of the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the third time in the past four years.  The honor reflects the classroom achievements of the 2013-14 squad.

The MCLA squad logged a cumulative GPA of 3.02 under head coach Deb Raber.  Her program has been honored in 2011, 2012, and now 2014.

A total of 880 soccer teams (285 men, 595 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year.

For a team to be considered for the NSCAA Team Academic Award, it must have a composite team grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for all team members who appear on the official NCAA roster forms for the fall season.  All players on the roster must be included in the calculation of the team GPA.
