Richardson selected as MASCAC player of the week in women's soccer

North Adams, MA- MCLA goal keeper Megan Richardson has been tabbed as the MASCAC player of the week in women's soccer as announced by the league offices this afternoon.  The honor is the first for Richardson this season.  She was joined on the weekly release with Brianna Hawley of Westfield State, who was the conferences rookie of the week.

Richardson was outstanding in a pair of contests for MCLA.  She stopped nine shots in leading the Trailblazers to a 1-0 road victory over St. Joseph (CT) on Tuesday.  The shutout was her first of the season and 7th of her decorated career.

She continued her steady play on Friday night by collecting 12 saves in a 1-0 loss to the Sage Colleges.

On the week she collected 21 saves with a .955 save percentage.

Richardson and the Trailblazers are back in action on Wednesday night when they travel to Castleton University for another non league tilt.
