Raber set to present at United Soccer convention, receive award

North Adams, MA-- MCLA Women's Soccer Coach, Deb Raber will once again be presenting at the United Soccer Coaches National Convention. This year she will travel to Kansas City, Missouri in mid-January. Raber has been presenting at the association's annual convention since 2011.

Raber will hit the ground running as she will run two sessions for First Time Attendees, assist with the Advanced National Diploma course, attend the annual Ethics Committee meeting (a committee she has served on for over 14 years) and the Scholar All-American Committee meeting where she serves as the Women's Senior College National Chair.

Friday night she will attend the Awards Banquet where she will be honored as the 2021 recipient of the Mike Berticelli Excellence in Coaching Education Award. This annual award is presented in memory of the Notre Dame coach who was serving as the association's Vice President of Education when he passed away in January 2000. It is presented to a member of the United Soccer Coaches Academy staff in recognition of positive contributions to the game of soccer and excellence in coaching education.

Her visit to Kansas City ends with an on-field coaching demonstration session, "First and Direction Touch", as part of the association's Youth Professional Development Certificate.
