Women's Tennis releases its fall 2016 schedule
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Tennis program will have a new head coach when they open their season on Saturday, September 3rd as Trevor Grimshaw will take over for Holly McGovern. Grimshaw will look to lead the program back into the postseason with a 12 match slate covering a six week span.
The opener is set for the third at home against Anna Maria. A Labor Day matchup against Becker College is also set for the Zavattaro Complex before a road tilt at St. Joseph (CT) on the 9th.
MCLA will host a non league match against Worcester State on the 13th before conference play opens up the next day. The Trailblazers will host NAC foe Lyndon State on the 14th and travel to Green Mountain on the 14th continuing league play.
A key home match with Castleton is on September 20th while a non league trip to Sage awaits on the 22nd. The difficult week continues with a NAC match at Johnson State on the 24th and then the Trailblazers head to perennial league power Colby Sawyer on the 28th.
MCLA closes the regular season with a pair of home league matches as they host Thomas College and Husson on October 1st and 2nd before heading into the postseason tournament the following weekend.
The Trailblazers finished a respectable 6-7 overall last season and were 3-4 in the NAC.
