MCLA improves to 3-0 with win over Lyndon State

Lyndon, VT- The MCLA Trailblazers took to the road tonight as they traveled up to Lyndon State for a non conference match.  MCLA improved to 3-0 on the young season as they handled the Hornets in four sets.

MCLA was led by Julia Christian, who tallied a team best 8 kills while also notching 5 aces.  Allie Chang chipped in with 6 kills, while Courtney Parent had a team high 12 assists.

Lyndon State drops to 1-2 overall.

The Trailblazers took the opening two games in convincing fashion.  They won the opener 25-20 before easily dispatching of the Hornets 25-12 in game two.  Lyndon came back to win set three 25-20 before MCLA closed the match with a 25-19 win in game four. 

Lyndon was done in by 16 receiving errors on the night.  MCLA also collected 16 aces compared to just four for the Hornets.

Amanda Fleming chipped in with 12 digs for MCLA, while Jackie Paluilis, Rachel Mills, and Chang all had 10 in the match.

MCLA will look to stay unblemished this weekend when they travel to Keuka College for a tournament beginning on Friday night.
