MCLA gets beat by visiting Blazers

North Adams, MA- The visiting Blazers of Elms College dropped the first game before coming back and beating the Trailblazers 3-0 en route to a 3-1 win in the Campus Center. With the loss the Trailblazers fall to 5-5 and the Blazers improve to 3-10.

In game one MCLA went fell early before rallying back to take a commanding 21-18 lead and never looked back. Sam Anderson had 3 kills on 5 attacks and one ace.

In game two the Trailblazers looked to stay hot as they scored the first four points. Their biggest lead was 19-9 and held the lead until 24-23. The Blazers fought their way back and won 26-24. Christine Searles had 3 kills and teammate Shannon Bolton had four assists.

Game three and four were back and forth between both teams but the visiting Blazers took control of both of them and came out on top.

MCLA was led by Darien Quick who had 8 kills on 21 attacks, Allie Chang had 4 aces. Sam Barbarotta had 13 digs.

For Elms, Searles had 9 kills, 2 assists and four digs. Caitlyn Larvey had 32 digs. Bolton finished with 21 assists.

The Trailblazers will be back in action in a tri-match this Saturday starting at 11:00 am.
