Volleyball splits on day two of Morrisville tourney, beats Pitt Greenburg 3-2

Morrisville, NY- The MCLA Volleyball team completed their two day stay at Morrisville State as they fell 3-0 to MIT this morning before earning a five set win over Pitt-Greenburg later in the day.  The Trailblazers are now 2-3 on the young season heading into their home opener on Tuesday night.

MCLA's Allison Clark was named to the All Tournament team following her performances over the weekend.

In the morning game vs. MIT, the Trailblazers couldn't keep pace with the Engineers.  They fell by scores of 25-16, 25-21, and 25-13.  Angelica Perfido led the Trailblazers with six kills and 17 digs, while Chanielle Enomoto had 18 digs.  Courtney Parent chipped in with nine service aces to lead MCLA.

In the nightcap, MCLA won a five setter by scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 25-27, and 15-1 in the pivotal deciding set.  The Trailblazers were led by Allison Clark's 20 kills and 22 digs.  Perfido finished off her strong day with 15 kills and 21 digs.  Margaret Allen chipped in with 13 kills. 

On defense, Enomoto had a team best 23 digs while Beatrice Lechler added 15.

The Trailblazers will look to get back to .500 on Tuesday night at 7pm when they host Mt. Holyoke.
