Volleyball grabs 3-0 win over Cobleskill
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Volleyball team continues to add to their record setting season as they earned their 21st victory this evening with a 3-0 win over Cobleskill in non league action. With the win, the Trailblazers improve to 21-9 on the season while the Fighting Tigers drop to 5-21 overall.
Allison Clark paced the offense with a match best 12 kills on 24 attacks. Rachel Mills had a productive night amassing 9 kills on 17 attempts. Taylor Wiese chipped in with 9 assists and 4 aces. Brittney Pihl ended her night with 15 digs and 5 aces as well.
The Trailblazers were never threatened as they took the opening set 25-15 and then cruised in the second 25-13. They put away the Tigers 25-13 in the third to take the match victory.
Cobleskill was led by Bailie Roberts' 5 kills. Michelle Urkevich added 8 assist while Raven Worthing notched 10 digs.
MCLA will wrap up the regular season with a crucial match at home against Bridgewater State on Saturday. A Trailblazer win over the Bears will clinch the top seed in next week's MASCAC tournament. Game time is set for 1pm and prior to the first serve, MCLA will honor their seniors with a senior day presentation.
