Clark named first team All MASCAC selection for second straight season

North Adams, MA- For the second consecutive season, MCLA's Allison Clark has been selected to the All MASCAC first team as announced by the league offices this afternoon.  The senior currently leads the Trailblazers in both kills and digs.

Alycia Rackliffe of Framingham State was tabbed as the conference's player of the year, while Richard Casali of Framingham was the Coach of the Year.  Erin Clifford of Bridgewater State was selected as the top rookie.

Clark leads the conference in hitting percentage and is third in total kills heading into this week's conference quarterfinals.  She hit .289 and has amassed 295 kills and 295 digs on the year.

The senior from San Jose, CA has led the team to a 15-13 mark and the third seed in this week's conference tournament.  Last season, the Trailblazers advanced to the conference finals before falling to Framingham State.

Clark had a season best 32 kills in a five set win over William Patterson on 10/1 and a 26 dig effort in a loss to Anna Maria on 9/27.  In total, she has recorded eleven double doubles on the season for the Trailblazers.

MCLA and Clark will host Salem State tonight at 7pm in the MASCAC Quarterfinal round.  The winner will advance to the semifinals and a match against Westfield State.  The remainder of the tournament will be played in Framingham.
