Three Volleyball Players earn All MASCAC honors

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Sophomore middle hitter Anais Badio (Las Vegas, NV / Community College High School West) has been named to the MASCAC All-Conference First Team. In contrast, sophomore outside hitter Elizabeth Brown (Lee, MA / Lee High School) and junior right side Chloie Garber (Eagle River, AK / Eagle River High School) have been named to the MASCAC All-Conference Second Team.

Westfield State's Bridgette McAndrews was named the Player of the Year while Worcester State's Camryn Burgio was named Defensive Player of the Year. The Rookie of the Year honor went to Framingham State's Natalie Reynolds. Westfield State's Fred Glanville was named the BSN Coach of the Year.

Badio was honored with her first MASCAC All-Conference Team appointment. She started in all 26 of the Trailblazer's games, starting in 25. The sophomore from Las Vegas was second in the conference and 56th in the nation with a .338 hitting percentage. She also had a season-high tying 19 kills in the Conference Playoffs Final against Framingham State, matching her total against Wells College.

This was the third time Garber had been named to a MASCAC All-Conference team, making first in 2022 and second in 2021. Garber started in all 26 of the Trailblazer's games this season. She makes multiple appearances in the NCAA Division III season statistical leaders, including fifth in the country in aces per set with .087 and seventh with 81 aces. Garber also became the all-time program leader in kills earlier this season 

Brown makes her second MASCAC All-Conference team appearance, appearing on the second team in 2022. She started 25 of Trailblazer's 26 games, appearing in all. She recorded a season-high 18 kills against Westfield State on September 26th. She also had a stretch of four consecutive games with at least 12 kills in three-set matches against conference opponents Fitchburg State (12), Framingham State (12), Salem State (12), and Bridgewater State (14) between October 11th and 25th.

Joining Badio on the first team were Framingham State's Hailey Sanders and Anna Szymanski, Westfield State's Julia Bartiet and McAndrews, and Worcester State's Burgio and Angela Colonis.

Brown and Garber were joined on the second team by Fitchburg State's Stephanie Sardella, Framingham State's Stella Bailey and Reynolds, Westfield State's Julia Dangel-Garcia, and Worcester State's Maeve Cadogan.
