MCLA finishes second in Vermont Tech Invitational

RANDOLPH CENTER, VT – MCLA's Claire Simmons paced the Trailblazers with a fifth place finish in leading MCLA to a second place finish in the Vermont Tech Invitational this afternoon.
Junior Dakota Van Tine completed the 5K course in a time of 22:45, followed by her own teammate, Sophomore Peyton Jones, en route to Green Mountain College grabbing the top place on the podium. Nashua Community College runner Alyss Lombardi finished out the top three in a time of 23:01. MCLA took team second, led Simmons' fifth place, with Southern Vermont finishing third. Vermont Tech did not garner team points, but Brittany Osborne (So./Colchester, VT) and Serena Reynolds (Fr./Alburgh, VT) finished 22nd and 23rd, respectively.
