Springfield, MA- The MCLA Women's Cross Country program ran this afternoon in the Western New England Invitational.  Sam Gawron was the first Trailblazer to cross the finish line.  The sophomore ran the 5k race in 24:04.

Kaitlin Wright and Annie Gagnon were the next two to cross the line just a second apart at 24:43 and 24:44 respectively.

Others competing for MCLA were Svetlana Morrell, Jordan DeGaetano, Shelby Gauthier, and Hanna Schrade.

The meet was won by the University of New England.  MCLA finished in 20th place.
