Trailblazers making the grade in the Classroom
North Adams, MA- As part of the department's mission of 3-2-1, the Trailblazer student-athletes are driven to attain a 3.0 grade point average. MCLA had a successful semester as 54% of the student-athletes achieved the mark this past fall. Six Trailblazers earned a perfect 4.0 this semester. Eighty student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester.
MCLA Athletics has embraced the 3-2-1 vision.
- All student-athletes reach and maintain a 3.0 GPA
- All teams competing in the top 2 of their conference
- All student-athletes and staff working together as 1 team
MCLA has continually placed about 50% of student-athletes on the MASCAC All Academic Teams that are released at the end of the seasons. Six Trailblazer programs in total had team GPA's of 3.0 or higher.
The Trailblazers had six student athletes post a 4.0 this past fall.
